The College of Dentistry at the University of Saskatchewan is seeking Clinical Dentists to work on percentage of billings basis in support of our outreach clinics. The College operates outreach clinics in multiple sites across northern/ rural Saskatchewan as well as the Saskatoon West Dental Clinic. This role is ideal for a dentist who is passionate to make a positive impact in communities by addressing access to care challenges for priority populations and delivering high-quality patient care. Nature of work: The Clinical Dentist provides the full scope of general practice dental services for patients in College of Dentistry clinics. The incumbent will work as a member of a multidisciplinary team providing high quality services designed to promote, maintain, or restore oral health for priority populations served by the College of Dentistry, University of Saskatchewan. This is a great opportunity for a dentist who is motivated to exercise leadership skills in running a practice and grow their experience through our support network.
Typical Duties or Accountabilities:
- Provide comprehensive, patient-specific dental treatment services to clinical patients in accordance with the standards of care for a general practitioner in Saskatchewan
- Participate in dental health promotion and professional development activities
- Develop strong relationships with the community, staff, and patients by fostering a collaborative, multidisciplinary approach to patient care
Education: Dental degree from a post-secondary institution accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation of Canada and eligible for licensure in Saskatchewan. Licenses: Must be eligible to be licensed to practice dentistry in Saskatchewan, and maintain good standing with the College of Dental Surgeons of Saskatchewan
Experience: Experience working with priority populations is an asset. Must be able to travel freely in the assigned region.
Compensation: A competitive percentage-based compensation. Travel, accommodation and meals are covered. Agreement details are negotiable based on individual experience.
