This comprehensive surgical mentorship program has been designed to offer the general practitioner personalized mentorship training in becoming proficient and comfortable with the treatment planning and surgical placement of a posterior single-tooth dental implant. Attendees will experience a combination of hands-on lectures, group treatment planning sessions, and culminating in mentor supervised live patient implant surgeries.

About Dr. John Tsourounakis
DDS, Cert. Perio, MS, FRCD(C)
Dr. John M. Tsourounakis graduated from Aristotle University in Greece with the degree of Doctor of Dental Surgery in 2008. He then obtained his specialty Certificate in Periodontics in 2012, and in 2013 he completed a postgraduate Fellowship in Dental Implantology, from Louisiana State University, School of Dentistry in New Orleans. During that time he completed his Masters Degree in Health Care Management from the University of New Orleans, College of Business, in 2011, graduating with distinction with an award in academic excellence. Dr. Tsourounakis maintains a private practice at Southwest Specialty Group, in Winnipeg, Manitoba, and is a clinical instructor at the graduate periodontics program of University of Manitoba, College of Dentistry. He is a Diplomate of the American board of Periodontology and a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada.
About Dr. Carman Rabuka
Dentist
Dr. Rabuka was born and raised in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. He attended the University of Saskatchewan where he received both his Bachelor of Science degree (2003) and his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree (2007). Following graduation he moved to Vancouver, British Columbia to complete a one-year General Practice Residency (GPR) where he learned advanced techniques in oral surgery and trauma. He returned to Saskatoon in 2008 and has been practicing here ever since. He joined Broadway Dental Group in 2011 and became one of its owners in 2014.
Dr. Rabuka enjoys all aspects of general dentistry with his main interests being in surgical procedures involving dental implants and digital dentistry with CAD/CAM technology.
Carman is an experienced cellist and has been a part of the Saskatoon Symphony Orchestra for the past 19 years. In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his wife and three daughters, being outdoors camping or fishing, and is a sports enthusiast.
About Dr. Brett Spenrath

Dr. Spenrath was born and raised in Lloydminster. He completed a DMD in 2017 at the University of Saskatchewan. He completed internship and residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NY. He then moved to Oklahoma City to complete a fellowship in complex Pediatric Cleft and Craniofacial surgery. He is thrilled to have the opportunity to return home to serve the children and families of Saskatchewan. Dr. Spenrath’s main interests are pediatric cleft and facial surgery, facial trauma, and reconstructive surgery. Outside of work, Brett enjoys hiking, camping, fishing and enjoying the outdoors with his wife Hollee. They look forward to starting a family and building their life in Saskatchewan.
About Dr. Abe Khalegi

Dr. Abe Khaleghi was raised in Calgary, Alberta. He completed his bachelors in Biochemistry with Honours at University of British Columbia in 2014. Subsequently, he attended University of Saskatchewan where he completed his D.M.D and received the Faculty of Dentistry Gold Medal Award in 2018. He then moved to NY and completed a one-year Internship in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery in 2018-19. Dr Khaleghi completed Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency at Indiana University and affiliated hospitals in U.S. from 2019- 2023. Dr Khaleghi and his family returned to Saskatchewan on July of 2023; he has joined SOS and has been a part time faculty at U of S College of Dentistry.
